"Ukrainer, or Ukrainian-style coffee, is a new beverage, strong in taste, just like the Ukrainian spirit. Its unique recipe was presented in Chernivtsi

The idea of developing a patriotic drink was proposed by young people from the SSU National Academy. ( Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine) The initiative was supported by chef Yevhen Klopotenko and Vadym Hranovskyi, an expert in making coffee in a jezve.

Vadym Hranovskyi, the champion of jezve coffee, has developed a recipe for a coffee filled with senses and associations of strength and bitterness.

"We mix espresso and jez in one cup. The result is a strong, rich coffee. This is exactly the kind of coffee our soldiers love to drink. It truly opens your eyes, brings energy, freshness, and strength," says Vadym Hranovskyi.

Apart from the recipe, the creators of the drink came up with a special ritual to demonstrate their disdain towards the enemy. So, you need to take the coffee, drink it to the bottom with thoughts of Ukraine's victory, and then confidently throw the sediment from the cup onto a portrait of Putin. A target is provided. Afterward, don't forget to take photos and share them on social media.

"To keep Ukraine in the cultural context of the world, we need to create something new that people can drink, eat, and use. Right now, it's an attempt to make coffee in a Ukrainian way. I dream of going to Italy, Milan. Sitting in a café and saying, 'Please give me Ukrainian-style coffee and a Ukrainian flatbread (palyanytsia),'" shares Yevhen Klopotenko

By the way, the famous chef Klopotenko treated the Chernivtsi residents who joined the presentation with his author's aromatic flatbread (palyanytsia). Anyone could try a slice of the bread and natural honey.

"Palyanytsia is a bread made from fermented dairy products. You have yogurt or kefir, or maybe sour cream that has fermented? You add it to the flour and bake it. I think we should eat this kind of bread after the war is over," says Yevhen Klopotenko.

The guests were treated to coffee and flatbread (palyanytsia) for free. At the same time, everyone could help the Ukrainian Armed Forces by scanning a QR code or simply donating money into the collection box.
