Chernivtsi Regional Memorial Museum named after Volodymyr Ivasiuk, dedicated to the outstanding Ukrainian composer and poet, one of the founders of Ukrainian pop music. The permanent exhibition was opened on the day of the 50th anniversary of Volodymyr Ivasiuk on March 4, 1999.
The museum is located in the apartment where the Ivasiuk family lived from 1971 to 1995, and Volodymyr himself lived from June 1971 to August 1972. Since then, the Volodymyr Ivasiuk Memorial Museum has become a kind of center for the popularization of Ukrainian song in its best, most outstanding examples, a place of interesting literary events, competitions, concerts, exhibitions. The museum's funds contain items of the main and auxiliary funds, including violin and piano by Volodymyr Ivasiuk, gifts, furniture, autographs, notes of the composer's songs, letters and drawings. Personal household items, clothes, books, fishing tackle and a wide variety of musical equipment are lovingly preserved. As well as unique documents of the 30s, which belonged to his parents.
