The Chernivtsi Yuri Fedkovych Literary Memorial Museum was established in 1945. For a long time, the museum's exposition was located in one of the buildings of the residence of the Bukovynian metropolitans, later in the premises of the regional museum of local lore. Then, in 2004, the Yuri Fedkovych Literary Memorial Museum was established in the memorial building where the writer lived in recent years.
The museum presents 9 exhibition halls, which are divided into two parts: literary and memorial. On the catwalks of the museum are exhibited household items, furniture, samples of festive Hutsul clothing, which convey the spirit of the era in which Yuri Fedkovych lived and worked.
Visitors can see the hall where the interior of the first Ukrainian society in Bukovyna "Russian Conversation" is recreated. In addition to antique furniture, there are photos of the organizers of this society, statutes, books and musical instruments.
A separate exhibition hall is the interior of the editorial office of the first Ukrainian newspaper "Bukovyna", edited by Yu. Fedkovych. Visitors will be interested in the author's workplace, household items, furniture, stationery oo XIX - early XX century
The memorial room of Yuri Fedkovych, where he lived and worked in the last years of his life, deserves special attention. The parquet floor of that time, a desk, an armchair, a stick, an inkwell, lifetime editions of his works, autographs, books from his own library have been preserved in the room. On a small table covered with a white home-woven tablecloth and in a bowl are household items, both memorial and of that period. Also pay attention to the kerosene lamps, as well as the lyre on which Yuri Fedkovych once played.
