Chernivtsi guides have donated over 47,000 hryvnias to the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the beginning of their volunteer project.
After February 24, every conscious Ukrainian tries to help the defenders protect their homeland and be useful on their front. They do what they do best and, if possible, donate to the Armed Forces. This desire united Chernivtsi guides in March to create a joint volunteer cycle of excursions.
The purpose of the tour marathon is to introduce Chernivtsi to thousands of people for whom our city has become a new home and to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine defeat the enemy. Since the beginning of the project, the guides have already conducted about fifty tours.
The excursions take place every weekend. On Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m, guides are waiting for tourists near the carriage on Olha Kobylianska St. There is no fixed price for the tour. Payment is solely at the participants' discretion - they can donate according to their ability to support our defenders. The funds earned from the tours are immediately transferred to the unified treasury account of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ranging from 50% to 100% of the total amount. During the duration of this project, the collective contribution has already surpassed 47,000 hryvnias.
Every Saturday and Sunday, the guides invite everyone, including displaced individuals, locals, and tourists, to join the volunteer excursion series "Chernivtsi: Introduction." Participants can expect a delightful walk through the city accompanied by interesting stories from the guides, a tour of the most significant landmarks, a meeting with a living legend of the city, and finally, small souvenirs from the tourist page "Go Chernivtsi" of the Chernivtsi City Council.
